Hello beautiful souls!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, March 3rd, there was a total lunar eclipse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The full moon was in Virgo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since it was a total lunar eclipse occurring under a full moon in my home sign, I had been looking forward to it, though I also felt a slight sense of nervousness (I wonder why?) as the day approached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early in the morning on my birthday six months ago, the full moon occurred in Pisces\u2014the sign opposite Virgo\u2014and it was also accompanied by a lunar eclipse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had been looking forward to that one as well, but I accidentally fell asleep. (Laugh)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, the celestial show started around 1 a.m., so I suppose it couldn\u2019t be helped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I suddenly woke up, it was almost dawn, close to 4 a.m. (I think).
When I opened the window, I saw the moon emerging from the eclipse, floating in the dark sky.
It was an utterly enchanting sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last night, the eclipse began just before 10 p.m. local time here and ended a little after 11, making it a fairly easy time to watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weather forecast had predicted clouds, and it had indeed been cloudy all day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, I thought that if I could catch even a brief glimpse, that would be nice, so I stepped outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To my surprise, the clouds had broken here and there, and quite a few stars were clearly visible.
When I turned around, the moon\u2014just beginning to be eclipsed\u2014was quietly floating behind me.
I moved to a spot nearby with fewer tall buildings and ended up watching the sky outside for a full hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it happened, just when the eclipse deepened and the moon\u2019s light was almost completely hidden, thick clouds rolled in again and covered the moon entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But then, right when the moon began to show the faintest sliver of light again\u2014like the edge of a fingernail\u2014the clouds parted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Standing there facing the moon, Jupiter was visible just to my left, and close by was Sirius as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the spiritual world, the full moon is often said to be a time for letting go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That reminded me of the Virgo new moons that arrived twice around the time of the Pisces full moon six months ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t usually perform any particular rituals aligned with the new or full moon, but even so, they offer a wonderful opportunity to reflect on oneself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I look forward to seeing, six months from now, how I will view the person I am now\u2014and the path that unfolds from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
